BOARDING & ACCESS:

At our boarding location here at the Main Wharf, Goolwa, there is plenty of free parking closeby to our vessels.

On board; the vessels have a few steps to navigate to get into the main cabin area. All vessels have large windows for viewing from the comfort of the main cabin & comfortable seating throughout. The vessels also have hazard markers where necessary for added visibility.

On our longer tours where guided shore excursions are included, the vessel is beached & the skipper/crew extend steps down onto the sand. Guests are welcome to stay with the vessel & opt out of the walk or/ complete as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing. On our Half-Day and Full-Day Coorong experience we have a guided shore excursion at Barkers Knoll, on our Full-day Coorong experience we also include a second guided shore excursion at Cattle point with our cultural guide.

Barkers Knoll - walk is comprised of compacted sand at the start, boarded path through the middle, and then softer sand at the very end before reaching the Southern Ocean & 90-Mile Beach. This is then replicated on the return back to the boat. Guests are welcome to do as much or as little of the walk as they feel comfortable with. The length of this walk is ~600m each way or/ 1.2km return.

Cattle Point - walk is predominately softer sand throughout the excursion, so can be a bit more challenging. The first section includes a steeper sand dune, then the walk is over a flatter plataeu of stuuning sand to significant Indigenous Cultural sites. The length of this walk is ~900, each way or/ 1.8km return.

COMING SOON… We are currently filming & developing new visuals onboard for those that choose to stay with the boat during our guided shore excursions!

Please see below for photos of the vessels, boarding & sections of our guided shore excursions.

VISION & HEARING:

Onboard tours our Skippers & Crew offer expert commentary throughout the cruise. Our team often describe what our passengers are viewing as we move along, and when we know we need to take extra time to paint a picture for our guest, we do so with audio aids such as microphones, speakers throughout the vessel and visual aids onboard with displays screens.
